Winter is here, brrr it’s cold. That can only mean one thing - cookies. On today’s show we Leslie Land discusses poinsettia smarts and cookie know how, Carola Kittredge touches on some personal and hilarious Hudson Valley history with a segment on John Watts de Peyster, Alex Tuller makes her mom’s special thimble cookies, and Dean Temple and Percy Shelley comment on why Ozymandias just isn’t what he used to be. Plus we have the Hudson Valley Events Calendar from Ilana Papele.
We also have a clip of the week this week courtesy of Rhinebeck Chamber Music. Hudson Valley Baroque will be performing this Sunday, December 11 at 4 p.m. at the Church of the Messiah on Rte. 9 in Rhinebeck. The concert will feature music that would have been heard in Colonial New York. Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for students and free for children under 13. There will be a preconcert talk at 3:30 and a post concert “Meet the Artists” reception. Tickets will be available at the door.
