Happy new year and welcome to 2006! We have a great first show of the year for you.

On this week’s show we have Leslie Land and what to do with all that snow, Cari Swanson muses on riding horses in winter, Alex Tuller makes some fabulous chocolate pots de creme, and Dean Temple reads a lesson on how to wash dishes from the 1903 edition of the Good Housekeeping Everyday Cook Book.

We also have a clip of the week this week from Hudson Valley musician and songwriter James Krueger. Krueger will be having a cd release party for his new work “Bluebird in the Snow” at the Arts Upstairs Gallery on Main Street, Phoenicia on Saturday, January 14 at 7 PM and Sunday, January 15 at 3 PM at the Arts Society of Kingston Gallery at 96 Broadway, Kingston. A nominal admission of $3 includes complimentary refreshments and acoustic music by Krueger. He can be found online at jameskrueger.com.

We also have the Hudson Valley events calendar from Ilana Papele.
